For all those 1 people who read my journal, you might know i'm a rookie games and consoles collector. I have quite a collection building, and managed to get my hands on a few cool things this week.

First off was a Nes Top-loading system. I'd been looking casually for one, since they're cool but good old cashconverters... you can always count on them to not know how to price things properly because they were selling it for $60, bargain!

Second haul was a whole motherload of Commodore 64 stuff that my girlfriends dad got off a guy he works with. Not just disks, but a bunch of games still in boxes near-mint, controllers and apparently possibly an Atari 2600 as well if he can find it, also with a bunch of games.

Woot! On a side note, i'm also casually trying to build a website devoted to retro stuff, expect it up in a few years maybe

In other news, scored myself a Sega Saturn. Let the game collecting begin! Was Sadly outbid on Kirby's Fun Pak (Superstar to you Americans) for the SNES on ebay. Someone send me their copy

Been on the hunt for a Saturn for a while, found one but it has no controllers and is overpriced. Save me Ebay! Sega Nomad on the other hand is a little harder to come by, with only 1m sold overall they're rare and expensive. Still, it'll be mine one day.

Nes Top Loaders are all over the place but expensive, I want one because it's region free, so import NES carts would be less of a problem. As for the Neo Geo Pocket Colour, it's been on my wishlist for a while, simply because I want one.

There's a bunch of others too but less wanted, Colecovision and Intellivision, atari 7800 are among that list, but that's for another time.

Just a short journal because i'm bored before work. Since i've moved and started getting paid, i'm ammassing a collection of game consoles, woo.

So far plugged into my lovely widescreen LCD TV at the foot of my bed I have:

NES
Playstation
Nintendo 64
Nintendo Wii

Not plugged in is my Gamecube, but that doesn't count because of my Wii but I want it for the Gameboy Player in it.

I've also managed to get back a few handhelds of mine, namely the old Atari Lynx which I bought at a bargain price, and I found a fully working Sega Game Gear at a toy fair recently, complete with a bunch of games, most crappy but it has Sonic 2 so that's all that matters. Even has the Master System game converter, which I also have lying around somewhere.

Must get more. MORE. I also want to get some games for them all, got a few, but my NES only has Kirby, which is awesome though.
